Smartphone apps increase efficiency
Small business owners must wear several hats. In one day, tasks may range from being the technician to the accountant to the salesperson, selling a product or service to a customer or two. Small business owners may have to multitask on a regular basis. Fortunately there are several mobile apps that make owning a small business a little easier. These apps allow the small business owner to work smarter, not harder.
Intuit recently released its latest Quickbooks update, which takes clients into the cloud. The Quickbooks app is free with membership, and includes the ability to view client information, and send invoices and sales receipts. On the iPad, the app also allows users to collect signatures digitally in order to approve estimates immediately. Tracking expenses is important. With the Quickbooks app, you can take a photo of a receipt and it automatically inputs the information.
Mint allows users to view all of their accounts in one place. With over 10 million users, Mint’s 128-bit SSL encryption ensures the same privacy used by banks. Mint allows users to easily set budgets and, it automatically categorizes expenses. You can set bill-pay reminders and track investments all in one location.
Evernote allows users to share content on a cloud. Companies can share documents, voice recordings, saved webpages, and photos for inspiration or brainstorming. Evernote allows any number of devices and users to access content.
Pages allows users the ability to update their fan page without directly accessing their personal Facebook feed. It has the ability to update statuses, upload photos, view page insights and manage multiple pages. The minimal design keeps users from getting distracted by their own news feeds, making updates a quick task.
