Sustaining your business through marketing and training
Are you interested in free and convenient trainings? GROW NebraskaTM believes there is nothing more important in sustaining a business than marketing and training. The creation of the Third Thursday Training (T3) came after hearing from small businesses there is not enough time to attend trainings. Still, there is a need for trainings on timely topics such as social media, ecommerce, taxes, micro-loans and more.
GROW Nebraska recognizes the training challenges for many businesses, especially those in rural communities. Knowing your time is valuable, GROW Nebraska offers free, open-to-the-public, monthly trainings in an easy call-in format— T3. Each month GROW Nebraska features a different presenter and topic related to marketing or small business needs.
New monthly trainings are listed on our website, grownebraska.org. Although trainings are free, registration is required to receive connection information and any supporting materials the presenter would like to share. An added advantage to T3 is the ability to listen to them again at a later date. Topics that have been covered at past T3s include: Money and the SBA, Marketing Magic, Why Do They Buy, Angels and Investing, UPS Shipping Tips, Avoiding Fraud, The New Google, Let’s Talk About Money and Hosting a Waste-Free Event. All sessions are audio-recorded and links to presentations are available on GROW Nebraska’s website, grownebraska.org/training/past-trainings/
"I would have been hard-pressed to find that type of concise, usable information anywhere else,” Monica Boyken, Phelps County Development Corp, said.
The trainings are always at noon (CST), free, open to the public, and you can participate from any location where you have phone service. By presenting the trainings in a listen-in format, participants can join over lunch right from their desks or even their cell phones as they travel. In addition, participants can ask questions during and at the end of the training. You may even email your questions at the time you register and they will be shared with the presenter.
This is just one of the training programs offered by GROW Nebraska. We also offer our yearly conference in Kearney called MarkeTECH, workshops across the state and ecommerce boot camps. Non-members and the general public can attend GROW Nebraska trainings. Members receive a discount on all trainings and they can take advantage of one-on-one training.
Would you like to be a presenter for a future Third Thursday Training session? Do you have a service or product that will help small businesses grow? We invite you to fill out the presentation RFP at grownebraska.wufoo.com/forms/third-thursday-training-proposal.
